Mooncake Festival

The Mooncake Festival is also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the 8 month of the Chinese lunar calendar. This is a historical festival rather than a religious one for the Chinese people. It marks the rebellion against the Mongols dating back to the 14th century in China. Today, this festival is celebrated with savoring mooncakes and a parade of lanterns.
